The Alaska Native Oratory Society celebrated its 10th anniversary with a an opportunity for orators to share spoken word, rap, poetry, humor, storytelling and commemorative narration. The theme for 2012 was “Bravely Facing The Issues: Celebrating Oratory in the 21st Century.”

This segment presents Melissa Okitkun, raised in Kotlik. Her presentation is called, “The Big Picture.”
