The UAA Campus Bookstore hosted a panel on “Writing the Alaska Native Story: Contemporary Perspectives and Challenges.” The panel included Jan Harper Haines (“Cold River Spirits: Whispers from a Family’s Forgotten Past”), Lael Morgan (“Eskimo Star”), William L. Iggiagruk Hensley (“Fifty Miles from Tomorrow: A Memoir of Alaska and the Real People”) and Dr. Jeane Breinig-Haida/Raven, Brown Bear Clan-UAA English Department and co-editor of “Alaska Native Writers, Story Tellers & Orators/AQR.”
