Dr. Ed Harris: Engineering Ethics
2007-12-11 by News, Sports, and ArtOn Friday, November 30 Dr. Charles “Ed” Harris presented “Engineering Ethics: From Preventative Ethics to Aspirational Ethics” as part of the Ralph and Betty George Engineering Ethics Speaker Series. Dr. Harris, a professor of philosophy at Texas A&M University, is considered a leader in the field of engineering ethics. He is co-author of Engineering Ethics: Concepts and Cases, which is considered one of the best introductory textbooks in the field. He is a popular speaker at engineering professional association meetings, including those sponsored by the prestigious National Academy of Engineering.
