Engineering Ethics SeriesDr. Henry Petroski, professor of Civil Engineering and History at Duke University, presented “To Engineer is Human” last night at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium. Among his many accomplishments, are several books on designs and success of previous engineers. Dr. Petroski has also written numerous articles for the New York Times and the Washington Post. While all kinds of engineering are of interest to him, much of his work focuses on large structures, especially bridges.
