Climate ControlDr. Lilian Alessa, Professor of Biological Sciences and Geography at the University of Alaska Anchorage, spoke to an attentive audience Feb. 5 on the effects of global climate change, and its amplification in the polar regions. Alaska’s rapidly changing land and waterscapes will soon affect many northern Alaskans’ lives, both physically and socially. Dr. Alessa’s speech is presented here in its entirety.
