Q & A: Chancellor Fran Ulmer answers questions on leadership

2009-04-15 by

What’s the essence of leadership? Do women bring something different to the decision table? Disappointment – how do you handle it?

Chancellor Ulmer earlier this month received the Athena Award given to a local man or woman for career effort, giving back to the community and nurturing women in their business and professional endeavors. Given her leadership role at UAA and the rapidly changing world that university students enter, this occasion prompted questions for the Chancellor on how she views this fundamental civic muscle. With her for the interview is Kathleen McCoy of University Relations.

Extra bonus: Fran offers her Top 10 Tips for Success—quick and pithy guidance that makes a lot of sense. She even added an 11th.

This podcast was recorded on April 15, 2009.
