On this edition of Student Storyboard, our guests are Jaime Spatrisano and Alanna de la Pena Bradshaw. Jaime is in the doctoral program and Alanna is in the master’s program. Both are exploring resilience-based research with different Anchorage communities. Jaime is focused on the Nepali-speaking Bhutanese and Alanna is focusing on the transgender community.

They are interviewed here by volunteer host Kathleen McCoy from UAA’s Office of University Advancement. This interview was recorded Friday, Dec. 5, 2015 in the studio of KRUA 88.1 The Edge.

Justin D. Lyons, associate professor of history and political science at Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio, delivered the next talk in the Chartwell Lecture Series. In a lecture titled “Deserve Victory: The Statesmanship of Winston S. Churchill,” Lyons considers the classical idea of statesmanship and ask whether Churchill deserves to be called a statesman.
