Kevin Powell presented “Dr. King, Civil Rights, and the Hip-Hop Generation” on Thursday, Jan. 24 at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium. Powell is a political activist, poet, journalist, essayist, hip-hop historian and an engaging speaker. The lecture was co-sponsored by UAA Student Activities and the Anchorage Folk Festival. This podcast includes Powell’s lecture and a question and answer session with the audience.
