  • UAA men brace for Cougs, Colonels in Shootout
    The Alaska Anchorage men's basketball team (2-0) will make its 2009-10 home debut this week when it plays host to the 32nd annual Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout at Sullivan Arena. The Seawolves will open the men's portion of the tournament against unbeaten Washington State on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. and then take on Nicholls State on Thanksgiving night.     SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – Alaska Anchorage outside hitter Jackie Matthisen was named Saturday night to the NCAA Div. II Volleyball West Regional All-Tournament Team after helping the Seawolves to a 1-1 record at the event this week.

  • Grant leads UAA over Minnesota State, 4-1
    ANCHORAGE – Two goals and an assist from junior forward Tommy Grant lifted the Alaska Anchorage Seawolves over the Minnesota State Mavericks, 4-1 in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association game at the Sullivan Arena on Saturday evening.

  • Seawolves end season with best NCAA finish
    EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The Alaska Anchorage men's and women's cross country team's season came to an end with a program-best fifth place finish from the Seawolf women and a 17th place finish from the men's squad at the 2009 NCAA Div. II Cross Country Championships on Saturday.

    The three-time defending champion Alaska Anchorage women's basketball team (2-0) returns to Sullivan Arena this week to take on Division I competition in the annual Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout.
