Weather Alert: UAA Anchorage, Eagle River and JBER campus classes cancelled Jan. 12, 2012

Dear Anchorage, Eagle River and JBER campus community:

The Anchorage bowl is currently experiencing a significant snowfall. The National Weather Service is predicting continued snowfall throughout the evening and is urging drivers to take care in traveling in the area.

UAA’s Anchorage, Eagle River and JBER campuses will remain open for the remainder of the day. Supervisors who wish to allow employees to leave work at 3 p.m. may do so, though employees must take annual leave as campus will remain open.

Classes scheduled to take place at UAA’s Anchorage, Eagle River and JBER campuses are canceled for Jan. 12, 2012.

Tonight’s UAA basketball game and UAA listening session will continue as scheduled.

The Campus Response Team (CRT) will continue to monitor the weather and road conditions throughout the evening and early morning hours. Please check the UAA website and/or email for any updates and/or possible closure information.
