Job Opening: Student Worker for Disability Support Services

At Disability Support Services, our mission is to cultivate a culture of inclusion here at UAA, with an emphasis on accessibility, usability and inclusivity for all. We are currently seeking student workers to team with us in a fast-paced, detail-oriented and collaborative environment centered on those we serve.

Successful candidates will have an appreciation of diverse populations and demonstrate competency in customer service, respectful communication, effective time management and goal attainment. Candidates must be resourceful, motivated, dependable, well organized, and able to reposition DSS equipment/furniture located around campus (10-50 lbs.). Students in this post will multi-task general reception duties as well as deliver exams and complete special projects. This position handles highly confidential information; the ability to safeguard privacy is mandatory. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) are preferred. Advanced training in department processes will be available. Be prepared to engage in rewarding work and have fun at the same time. Eligibility for Federal Work Study (Student Assistant Class C) is a plus.
