The UAA/APU Consortium Library will host the 38th annual conference of the International Association of Aquatic & Marine Science Libraries and Information Centers (IAMSLIC) from Aug. 24-30, 2012.

IAMSLIC is an international organization of individuals and institutions involved with aquatic and marine sciences information, and their annual conferences are held all over the world. Begun in 1975 in Woods Hole, Mass., IAMSLIC now numbers over 300 members from more than 70 countries; 60 are expected this year, the first time the conference has been held in Alaska.
