Photos of the transit of Venus

Last week, UAA astronomers and the Planetarium and Visualization Theater hosted a viewing of the transit of Venus, bringing 700 people from across Anchorage and the world to UAA’s campus to witness the rare astronomical spectacle. Professional and amateur astronomers alike came to Alaska from as far away at North Dakota, New Mexico, London and Guatemala.
