Vote in the USUAA Student General Elections, April 3-4

Polls open: Tuesday, April 3, 12:01 a.m.
Polls close: Wednesday, April 4, 11:59 p.m.

Get out and show your Seawolf pride! The Union of Students University of Alaska Anchorage (USUAA) Elections Board is hosting spring elections April 3-4 so UAA students can elect a new student government president and vice president, as well as senators and other student government positions. On the ticket are:

President/Vice President candidates
Alejandra Buitrago/Andrew McConnell
Samuel Frederick/Kevin Vanderwall

Student Senate candidates (ten seats)
Johnnie Templeton
Nine seats available

Concert Board (two seats)
Sofia Fouquet
One seat available

Media Board (one seat)
One seat available

USUAA constitutional referenda on the ballot:

  1. Referendum 12-03 Establish Green Fee Board in the USUAA Constitution (PDF)
  2. Referendum 12-04 Correcting the number of fall election seats (PDF)
  3. Referendum 12-05 Restoring Finance as a Standing Committee (PDF)

Students can vote online. Log in with your UAA username and password. If you’re a new user, set up your profile as a new user.

On April 3 and 4, students can vote on campus at any of these following polling locations:

  • Student Union
  • Gorsuch Commons Lobby
  • Rasmuson Hall
  • Social Sciences Building
  • Fine Arts Building

Students must be taking three or more credits to be eligible to vote.
