The nomination deadline is Jan. 31, 2013.

The Meritorious Service Award Committee is reaching out to the community for suggested nominees. The award recipients are individuals who have demonstrated:

• Evidence of significant work in the area of public, academic, volunteer or philanthropic service;
• Services to UAA or one of the community campuses, or to an Alaska community (i.e., health, arts, sciences, engineering, etc.);
• Longevity of commitment and/or service; and/or
• Diversity, culturally and/or discipline.

The criteria are outlined in the Board of Regents’ Policy (Part X – Academic Policy – Chapter 10.03.030 – http://info.alaska.edu/bor/policy-regulations).
